Metal Gear Solid is a stealth action video and computer game directed by Hideo Kojima. The game was developed by Konami Computer Entertainment Japan and first published by Konami in 1998 for the PlayStation video game console. It was well-received publicly and critically, shipping more than six million copies, and scoring an average of 94 out of 100 in the review tallying website Metacritic's aggregate. It is the third canonical title released in the Metal Gear series, being a direct sequel to Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake.
Metal Gear Solid's story centers on Solid Snake, a retired soldier who infiltrates a nuclear weapons disposal facility to neutralize the terrorist threat from FOXHOUND, a renegade special forces unit.He attempts to liberate their two hostages, the head of DARPA and the president of a major arms manufacturer, and stops the terrorists from launching a nuclear strike. Snake also confronts and defeats members of FOXHOUND.
Metal Gear Existence is a fan-fiction based off of the Metal Gear Solid world. Some of its characters are based off of Konami's popular title, and there for takes no credit. This fan-fiction is based on another point of view besides Solid Snake's, just as Raiden did for Metal Gear Solid 2.
Story
Characters
Metal Gear Existence's protagonist is Solidan Snake, a newborn infiltrator and saboteur. During his mission, he communicates and receives briefing from Colonel Ervin. Solidan is joined by Eva "Big Momma" a female spy; Nina a gene therapist; Solid Snake, a more advanced infiltrator and many more!
Metal Gear Existence's antagonist is Liquidus Snake, a twin of Solidan's and an experiment of the Sons of Liberty and leader of the True Existence. They all have one common goal in mind which always and have forever remained to challenge The Patriots so that they could soon take the position as world leaders. Members include Rhed, Ghost (Later Known As Flying Mantis), Vamp, Giovanni, and Karma.
Plot
Act I
In 2010, Mithril had hopes of becoming a recognized Anti-Terrorist organization across the United States and soon around the world. The organization's leader, Ervin, received news on a nukes being traded off of an remote island somewhere off the coast of the Hudson River. There was also news of the United States participating in a corrupt bargaining with the Terrorist Organization and could possible lead to an all out nuclear war. True Existence would trade the United States several trillion dollars for Metal Gear Ray models that would later be upgraded to Metal Gear Ron.
Solidan Snake is dispatched to Section 8 Base, an island located where the Big Shell was built, to investigate by Ervin, to end the bargain and dispose of any nukes found at the base. On the first part of his mission he ran into a weapon developer named Charles Andrews whom was able to feed him information regarding the bargain. However during the conversation, Andrews foresaw Solidan as one of the members of the Patriots, however before he could get the words out he died from the so called heart attacked, which was explained to be Deadly Patriot later on in the series.
From that point, Solidan was sent to meet up with the President, Abram. Abram told Solidan that the truth behind the bargain was through the Patriots, which was decoded so Solidan actually heard it being said "La-Li-Lu-Le-Lo" so that he could be misdirected and confused. He learned about their shadowy government and how this was an attempt to secure Liquidus from going wrong. Abram gave Solidan specific instructions on how to corrupt Metal Gear's infrastructure through its computers located in various sites of the building.
After hours of confusion and one big dream generated by a manipulative soldier named Ghost, Solidan finds out that he has helped Liquidus launch Metal Gear, and after confronting Ervin on a previous debate he made his way into Metal Gear's Hanger. Liquidus had already retrieved everything he wanted, and was in the process of escaping Section 8. By the time Solidan arrived, Liquidus was being escorted out by choppers, and left behind Two Ray models to kill Solidan. Discouraged, Solidan dropped his Stinger Launcher and allowed for the Rays to come charging at him.
The Stinger Launcher and picked up, and used to shot at Metal Gear Ray destroying them almost instantly. When Liquidus noticed, he referred to the man as 'brother' suggesting that the man was Solid Snake. Solid Snake denied any family relations with both Liquidus and Solidan and later had a conversation with Solidan Snake. Solid Snake came to realize that Solidan resembled him the most and decided to help him by ordering Otacon to follow Ron.
At this point, Solidan was feeling alone and was ready to allow himself to be killed. He was later contacted by the Patriots and was told that they would assist him with his Death Wish. However, the female who had set up for Solidan Snake to be sent out to Section 8, helped Solidan escape the island by her bike. During the escape, they came across several situational encounters; one which included a Female Scientist being abused by a deranged Guard. After saving the woman and fitting her on the bike, they three escaped the soon to self destruct underground fortress.
After reaching ground level, Solidan was dropped off by the woman exposing herself to be Eva (known today as Big Momma). Without an explanation, she told Solidan that she was going to leave his life, and let him live the rest of his life without her help and wished him the best of luck. Solidan was picked up by Ervin, and the mission was marked a failure.
Act II
Given a second chance, Solidan was sent into Syria six months later after receiving news from Solid Snake. Liquidus has become a renown terrorist and was blacklisted in the United States, driving him out. Once settled, the Patriots sent some of the United States best Private Military Companies to capture Liquidus for unknown reasons. Just before Solidan arrived to the scene, Liquidus had already claimed victory in that attempt.
Mithril had improved as well, and established a team that could supply Solidan with the proper resources to complete his mission, including the newest member Nina. Because Solidan made it six months without any signs of the Patrioits he had believed that the hit on him was removed. Nina, however, proved him wrong telling him about nanomachines, and how they we're being used to lessen oxygen flow in his body.
The first part of Solidan's mission was to find Maurice, a meeting which had been set up by Solid Snake. Maurice commanded a two man army, Known as Two Unit, and sent himself in to investigate Liquidus' activities; how he infiltrated and kept himself hidden was unknown at the time however. Once Solidan got to meet the man, Maurice was able to explain the situation and lead Solidan to right area
